Agnimitra Paul Backs NIA Action, Targets TMC Over Probe in Bengal
Asansol: West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul reacted to the search operation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at the residence of TMC leader Saokat Molla, stating that central agencies will act firmly if there are any links to activities that threaten national security. She said that if individuals are innocent, they should cooperate with investigators and present necessary documents.
Launching a sharp attack on the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), Paul alleged that the party had acted as though it was above the Constitution and the law. She further remarked that the people of West Bengal may take time to respond politically, but when they do, their decisions are decisive and firm.
Her comments come amid heightened political tensions in West Bengal following the ongoing probe, which has intensified exchanges between rival political parties in the state.
