Mother Dairy Unveils Eco-Friendly Milk Pouch on World Environment Day
New Delhi: Marking World Environment Day, Mother Dairy has introduced India’s first naturally degradable milk pouch, aimed at reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable consumption. The innovative packaging is designed to break down in soil within a few years, leaving no harmful plastic residue behind.
The initiative represents a significant step toward environmentally responsible practices in the dairy sector, where plastic packaging has long been a concern due to its large-scale usage. By adopting degradable materials, the company seeks to minimise its ecological footprint while maintaining product safety and quality.
Mother Dairy currently supplies nearly 55 lakh litres of milk ежедневно, resulting in millions of milk pouches being distributed to households across the region. The introduction of eco-friendly pouches is expected to have a substantial positive impact on waste reduction and environmental conservation efforts.
The move aligns with broader sustainability goals and highlights the growing role of innovation in addressing environmental challenges, especially in everyday consumer products.
