Chennai: Former Tamil Nadu BJP leader K. Annamalai arrived at his residence in Panaiyur along the East Coast Road (ECR) in Chengalpattu district, following his resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
A large number of supporters gathered at the Chennai airport to welcome him upon his arrival, reflecting continued backing amid his recent political move. Visuals showed enthusiastic supporters receiving him as he returned to the city after meeting party leaders in New Delhi.
His arrival comes shortly after his resignation from the BJP was formally accepted, and his announcement of a new political path, developments that have intensified political activity in Tamil Nadu.
