COIMBATORE: In a major push to expand its grassroots footprint, the ‘WE THE LEADERS’ organization—inspired by public leader K. Annamalai—successfully conducted a massive membership drive across more than 25 key locations in Coimbatore city district. Orchestrated on a statewide scale under the guidance of activist Balaji Uttamaramasamy, the intensive campaign witnessed an overwhelming public response, particularly during a prominent drive held at Lakshmipuram in Ward 53 of the Peelamedu area. Organizers noted that a significant number of local residents and youths eagerly registered to join the movement in pursuit of a new political alternative, stating that the immense wave of public support in Lakshmipuram marks a foundational step toward a major transformation in the future landscape of Tamil Nadu politics.
