Local Manufacturing Boosts India’s Defence Self-Reliance, Says Rajnath Singh
LUCKNOW — Highlighting a significant shift toward domestic capability, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that India’s defence production is experiencing steady growth, with the vast majority of military equipment now being manufactured indigenously.
Speaking at the Prabuddhjan and Varishthajan Samvaad Kaaryakram (an interaction programme with intellectuals and senior citizens) organized by the BJP’s local city unit on Sunday, Singh emphasized that India has maintained a resilient position globally despite navigating widespread international crises and complex geopolitical challenges. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asserted, the country is moving forward with heightened confidence. Singh concluded by reaffirming that the nation’s strategic independence remains uncompromised and that India’s sovereignty will be robustly protected under any circumstances.
