Mohan Bhagwat Emphasises National Strength and India’s Global Role
Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat said that a nation must be strong and prosperous in order to be respected in the global order, noting that in international affairs, power often determines influence. Speaking in Nagpur, he observed that while truth is important, it alone is not sufficient unless supported by strength, and added that global history shows how powerful nations tend to assert their will in various forms.
He remarked that the world often functions on the basis of power dynamics, where strong nations influence outcomes while weaker ones are forced to comply, citing examples of geopolitical actions such as conflicts and economic pressures. However, Bhagwat clarified that India does not seek to dominate or harm any nation, but aims to uphold and guide global society through its values.
He further stated that if India becomes strong while remaining rooted in its ethical and spiritual principles, it can offer a new model to the world—one based not on dominance, but on righteousness and moral leadership. According to him, a virtuous and self-reliant India has the potential to contribute positively to global peace and direction without resorting to coercion or aggression.
