DK Shivakumar Backs Kharge Nomination, Vows Swift Governance Start
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will file his nomination at 12:30 PM tomorrow, marking a key political development in the state. He added that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also be present during the filing, reflecting the party’s united stance and strong leadership presence. Shivakumar подчеркнул that the Congress party remains confident and well-organised, with preparations underway for multiple candidates, including those contesting for MLC positions. He noted that while four candidates have already been announced, the name of the fifth candidate will be revealed soon.
Speaking about his first day in office, Shivakumar said he has begun work immediately by holding meetings with senior officials to review administrative priorities and governance plans. Emphasising accountability, he stated that the Congress government is committed to delivering on the promises made to the people under his leadership. He acknowledged that public expectations are high from the very first day and assured that his administration will focus on effective governance, transparency, and swift implementation of key initiatives.
