Ghaziabad Murder Accused Carrying ₹50,000 Bounty Arrested After Police Encounter
GHAZIABAD: A high-profile criminal wanted in connection with a local kidnapping and murder case was arrested early morning following a fierce gunfight with the police. The accused, who carried a ₹50,000 bounty on his head, was intercepted by a joint team during an intensive vehicle-checking operation. Upon being signaled to stop, the suspect attempted to break through the security cordon, skidded off the road, and opened fire indiscriminately at the police personnel. In the retaliatory firing that ensued, the accused sustained a bullet injury to his leg and was swiftly neutralized and taken into custody. Police recovered an illegal firearm, ammunition, and a stolen motorcycle from the encounter site, while the injured criminal was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment under heavy security.
