New Delhi: Delhi Police personnel involved in the rescue operation at a fire-ravaged building in Malviya Nagar have recounted harrowing moments from the incident, saying they are still haunted by the loss of lives despite their efforts.
According to officials, police officers, along with local residents, rushed into the five-storey hotel building without protective gear as flames engulfed the structure. Recalling the chaos, one officer said that just “15 more seconds” could have cost him his life, highlighting the extreme risks taken during the rescue.
