INDIA Alliance Finalizes Rajya Sabha Nominations; Decision on Second Seat Imminent
RANCHI: Following a high-level meeting at Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s official residence, Jharkhand Minister Yogendra Prasad confirmed that the ruling alliance has officially finalized the paperwork for its primary Rajya Sabha candidate. Prasad stated that party leaders have formally signed the nomination papers as proposers and mapped out an initial electoral strategy centered around the officially declared candidate for the first seat. Addressing ongoing negotiations with alliance partner Congress regarding a potential candidate for the state’s second contestable Rajya Sabha seat, the minister indicated that political discussions are currently underway and a final consensus is expected to become clear by tomorrow.
